Mountains

Blue and green palette
surrounds this beautiful canvased city
Hollowed between
the splendid mountain
jutted up to the blue skies
pushing from the ground
raising up in the sky
as if wanting to fly
and to defy gravity.
The horizon that are bare
The horizon that goes straight
don’t you wish to be there?
Teleported through an Anywhere Door
running free and wild
while looking at the city.
The wind could be a tyrant
the air could be biting
but that will matter not.
You’ll dress warm for the occasion
You’ll be prepared
when dreams do come true.
Running in giant big leaps
Spinning around and round
screaming up to the sky
Screaming down to the city.
You’ll do the tribal dance
say ‘hola hola hola’
and ‘yoee yoee yooo’
I’ll need arms longer
Bigger than the ones I have
to wrap these mountains in my breast
to give it one giant big hug.
As you wake from your reverie
raise your glance up
to the mountains in the sky
and begin to wonder
if the mountains are moving,
or if it's the clouds drifting by.

Break through

Vexed by the ways of the world
consigned myself within four walls
mystic vision of many hued rainbows
flashed across my troubled mind.

Whether it was, I do not know
human ennui or divine providence
my thoughts no longer sluggish flowed
my mind did somehow soar.

It wondered to the forest beyond
amidst the birdsong tranquility
the zest of multifaceted life
encompassed within minds’ eye.

The sky sapphire, emerald earth
the river frothing diamonds
in the face of unremitting beauty
my despair and pain did fade.

To be lost in ecstasy of reverie
such, the self healing mind
to be captive to imagination
such, the strength of void.

To give color to the grey daub world
such the power of compassion, love
to give form, shape to deep emotion
such, the endowment of words.

Wrote this long time back in 2004. Remember wining a monthly poetry competition with it.

Fragmented Yesterday

I look back and smile
One moment that I remember
Us in comfort's arm
Soft grass coils us
It’s 12 noon and we eagerly wait
To open our lunch boxes

So the seventh and eight periods drags away
Waiting for my brother beside the gate
Together we walk back home
Our simple day is done
But heaven cries out again
Under those hazy color of gray
Sending shower of sweet delight
We were young then
Our mind an innocent clown
So we take off the black and blue
And start a tribal dance
Digging our feet into the mud and the puddle
Screaming out careless into the air
A part of us lost in rain
I cry out loud
As I see a white falcon fly
Together we battle a wish.

Memories

Mind is but a strange thing
it recalls only the worst of things
in sporadic of circumstances
in strangest of situation.

Even when you soak the sun
those memories comes to taunt you
while times does its trick
as the clock does its ticking
and memories do fade
it never does go away.

Lurking and spinning a web
like a spider to enthrall its prey.

How do I stop cringing
at something with no form
Awkward memories stored
in layers
in piles
in every cells in me.

I wish a hot water bath did the trick
wash it all
down the drown
memories in drain
through the pipes
out of this world
out of my head.
